Middle Springs is a big pool
with a grassy edge, nice for picnics and popular with families.
During and just after the wet season you find a series of smaller
pools and waterfalls above the main pool. To get to them climb up
the path to the left of the main fall. It's worth it, even when the
falls are dry, for the great views over the valley.
That's where we hid our 50th
cache above. It is advisable to wear suitable shoes because of
loose rocks down the hill. It is approx 320m from the start of
trail. Absolutely 4WD only, can be treacherous if the ground is
muddy at the beginning of the track off Parry Creek Road during and
after the Wet season. At the moment it is dried up.
The cache is an ammo
containing a logbook, pencil, sharpener and a couple of
goodies.
