Geocache Description:

The Gibb River Road cuts through the heart of the Kimberley, offering you a very different outback experience. There are majestic ranges, awesome waterfalls, spectacular gorges, sweeping savannah plains, numerous creeks and rivers. It is 647 kilometres of gravel, dust and corrugations but fun!!  A high clearance 4WD is strongly recommended to travel the Gibb River road.

The Gibb River Road was originally constructed as a beef road to transport cattle from the outlying central Kimberley cattle stations to the ports at Wyndham and Derby.

The cache is located just off Great Northern Highway and a bit further past the information bay on Gibb River Road. It is a magnetic Eclipse containing logbook and a pencil.

Happy Hunting.
