A replacement for the cache 'Local Heroes' which was archived due to the monument being relocated a few metres!Cache is adjacent to a main road. Access is easy.
Who hasn't driven passed here?
This cache is by a memorial to the fallen locals from the Great War. Across the road is a hotel built in 1888 and originally named the Terminus.
There was a railway station to the north of the hotel once called the Motupiko Station.

The old 'Kohatu Hotel' has been dragged into the 21st Century and is now a bar/café for the folk that seem to depend on the brown powder and can't drive for 30 minutes without a fix.
Cache is a 200ml container with a logbook and a few swaps. Please rehide as found.
