Geocache Description:

Your excuse to visit Atiu Creek Regional Park.

The cache is placed on Solomons Pa which is at the midpoint of the Oruawharo River Trail. So yes, you will have about 8kms to enjoy this new regional park. I was fortunate to pick an absolutely magnificient day to explore this park after weeks and weeks of rain. It is a truly wonderful place with fabulous views over the Kaipara harbour. This park was gifted to the ARC by Pierre and Jackie Chantelanat to whom we will be ever grateful. I haven't included many photos so as not to spoil the enjoyment for all those who follow. Follow the red markers and complete the whole loop as the scenery changes considerably. The GPSr was showing accurate to 4m - you will be standing above the path at GZ.
