Wanaka Golf Club (WGC)is certainly one of New Zealand’s most attractive golf courses. The solution to finding this mystery cache requires easily acquired knowledge of the club that can be found on the internet and a rudimentary knowledge of the rules of the game of golf itself.
The above coordinates are fake - DON'T GO THERE. The cache is located at
S44 42.ABC
E169 08.XYZ
To discover the ABC & XYZ, you need to work through the following clues.
Before starting a round of golf you need to check that you don't exceed the maximium number of golf clubs your are allowed to carry. Half of that amount represents the number needed for Y. When you play there off the men’s tees and get a par on the hole named “Clanmac” you will have found the number that is represented by A. If you get four shots over par on the 16th you will have the number of shots represented by B. You are playing “Matchplay” and you half the hole with your opponent, you record this result on your card with a number that is the same as that required for C. X & Z are represented by the two digits of the popular hole at the end of the game where you celebrate your win.
A =
B =
C =
X =
Y =
Z =
When you have solved the coordinates, the cache site is an area just outside the golf course. The cache is NOT hidden on the golf course.
