This cache is a one litre camouflaged sistema container, so named because of the abundance of Sarsaparilla flowers or Hardenbergia that inhabit the area. It is suitable for both 2WD and 4WD vehicles. Care should be taken if it is wet or with 2WD vehicles.
There are two main approaches to this cache. The first is from the South, South West and should only be attempted with a 4WD vehicle. Extreme care should be taken if wet. The second is the recommended approach for 2WD vehicles. Once you have arrived at way point 37 29.075S 143 52.837E, it is advised to park here and proceed on foot approximately 400m along the track to the cache. The track is narrow and not many opportunties arise to turn around and 4WD is definitely required to continue in a South Westerly direction past the cache along this track. A little rough terrain stands between you and the cache. Please be aware that there are uncovered mine shafts in this area. Take care.
