Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache located at the Milne Bay Military Museum.

The only remaining operator of the F-111 is the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF), and in Australian service the F-111 is known as the "Pig."

The Military Museum aims to preserve the history of the Australian Armed Forces with an emphasis on the roles played by the men and women of the Darling Downs who served abroad or at home. Memorabilia ranges from a World War I trench system, vehicles, weapons, small arms, artillery, uniforms, photos, medals, and more.

Open: 10.00am - 4.00pm 7 days.

There is an admission charge to go into the museum, however, what you seek is in the public access front yard and accessible during opening hours, for no fee.

You will see a replica of an F111 Escape module and nose cone. These truely are a big aircraft.

Wiki Entry for F111 Escape module .

The terrain setting is low, but the difficulty is high due to the absolute requirement to be stealthy on this one.

This cache is wheelchair accessible but there is short grass to roll over. It is a little bit of a reach, but do-able.
