A quick and easy grab for those who are passing through the Pemberton area.
After the disappearance of the cache at the Pemberton Swimming Pool, a replacement was needed, so we present "Pretty Pembi" still within walking distance of the pool itself. For those who want the easy walk, wander down the creek from the pool; for those who want a slightly more strenuous walk, follow the Bibbulmun track through the karri forest; and those who want the easy way, take Pump Hill Road and drive virtually to the cache. Its at a nice spot, overlooking the Lefroy (Excellent trout fishing when the season is open) and the Trout Hatchery, at the beginning of the Tramway Trail. The cache itself is just off the gravel in the obvious spot, but I'm hoping now, away from prying eyes.
Edit - March 2024 - From what I've been told, this is no longer a "quick and easy grab". I think the vegetation has grown up and multiple people have said getting a reliable fix on their phones is a challenge. Unfortunately I now live in the wrong part of the state to give it a quick check and won't be able to get down there until later in the year. I suspect the cache is still there, so I didn't want to disable it outright, but accessibility may be problematic. I've changed the difficulty so its obvious its not a quick grab and I'll also disable it temporarily until either I, or someone else can verify if its still there. Might have to re-examine if that's the best spot for it.
