To find the cache, you will need to know how to extract the numbers hidden in a simple Code 3 of 9 barcode. Don't try scanning this at Kmart, as it wont work. The retail industry uses a different kind of barcode than this one. Decoding the barcodes will give a string of numbers that require a degree and decimal symbol inserted to give a decimal minute coordinate.
The real coordinates for the cache are in the image below:
Once you have decoded the final coordinates, you may as well retrieve the coordinates for the best car park from this image:
This will give you a nice 3.2km return walk along a well formed vehicular track all the way to the cache. Remember, this is a Conservation Park, so definitely NO short cuts through the bush. You will be under a canopy of gum trees for nearly all of the walk, but remember to wear a hat and take plenty of water with you. Be on the watch for snakes during summer, and the odd creek crossing after rain.
You are looking for a flat black clip lock container hidden at the end of a felled tree. To avoid trampling the vegetation, please view the picture below of where the cache is hidden. Good luck and happy hunting.
