The Truckee River Legacy Trail is a gift to the community, both present and future. The Legacy Trail starts near the entrance to the Truckee River Regional Park and extends eastward along the Truckee River for almost two miles. It can be enjoyed by hikers, bikers, walkers, kids, and dogs-on-leashes. The trail starts as a paved curve around the first few tees of the disk golf course down towards the river where it turns into a hardpacked dirt path. From there, the terrain is fairly flat for the remainder of the current trail.
This was the old structure.
You came here for the cache. This is a great place for a bbq - thescheib and scheibwife had a big wedding bbq here in the summer 2006!
This cache is back in its original container, along the same vertical axis as its original and its secondary, but this third one is vertically in between!.
If coordinates listed have you in an unlikely spot, try this version. (For some reason, coordinates bounce around on different days...) 39.19.741 120.10.458
Note: Accessible during snow season, but it will increase the access difficulty. Cache will be accessible, but the trail may have some snow.
