I was on my way to San Juan Bautista via San Juan Grade Road, from
Salinas when I spotted this location. I hadn't been out this way in
well over 20 years. Not much has changed except the view of Salinas
shows how much it has grown in the last 2 decades. This cache is to
get folks to try a road less traveled (and bumpy). You a can ride a
bike out this way, but be prepared for some traffic and about a
900' vertical climb from either direction. Cache is off the side of
the road, on the roadside of the fence. May be a little slippery
when wet so use caution, but do enjoy the view and I hope you have
a clear day. BTW, the Windmill cache is near the end of this road
in San Juan and in Salinas you can catch a couple more at that end
of the road.
