Mare Island Naval Base is one of those that was turned over to the public and private industries a few years ago. And now there are caches springing up all over the place! Yeah! When I was a Sea Scout, we were allowed to use the see wall to do maintenance on our 63' AVR. We would have one of the large cranes pull our boat out of the water on to a drydock designed just for our boat. It looked like a giant trailer without wheels. The cache is located on this old base in a place not close to the water but somewhat center in the Island. You will understand the name of the cache when you get there. Potentially a high Muggle area, so use stealth. Please replace the cache EXACLTY as found. The coordinates will jump around in this location. so some geocaching mojo will be required. Use an offset method to find the cache.
