A micro cache at a trail head.
This cache has been placed as a service and a double entendre. This is a useful waypoint cache (WC) to set in your GPSr. This cache is located in an important spot in Almaden Quicksilver. At this site, you can find 3 trail heads, yes 3. It is near a picnic table, map board, and other features. It is a good spot to begin your trek through the park. You can sit here (in more than 1 place), read a map, and prepare yourself for a long hike. You can run back here on your return trip and find it a welcome relief and a place to rest.
The cache is a sign-only micro. Bring your own pen. It shouldn't be to hard to find, but watch and listen for muggles. If you're sly, there's a way to grab it surreptitiously even if you're surrounded by muggles, simply by pretending to be adjusting an article of clothing. There is no need to go more than 2 steps from the pavement for this one.

1/21/12 update: the cache was missing. I don't know if it was muggled, but I replaced it with a bigger one, then put a backup cache nearby. If it's uncamo'd, it's the backup. If it's nearly square in cross-section, it's the original. Any one is fine. Good luck.
2/10/12 update: it turns out the original cache wasn't missing, just relocated. I left the replacements in place, so there are now 3 caches there, pretty close to each other. Hopefully, the multiple redundancy will improve the muggle resistance of this cache(s). You only need to find one of them, but if you want a challenge, see how many you can find.
8/13/13 update: when I went to check on this cache, I could only find one of them. There may be only one left.
6/1/14 update: one of the redundant caches disappeared, or so I thought. I replaced it a short distance away, but with a different type of cache. Then I found the original just moved. Now there are 3 caches here.
10/25/14 update: a missing cache reappeared. I put it back where it used to be. Now there are 4 caches, all within a very short distance of each others.
9/8/17 update: one disappeared. Now there's only 3.
