If you didn't already notice this at the end of Royal Ave., where it dead-ends into Fern Ridge Reservoir.
This is a nice flat level walk for the whole family. I had a great sunset walk when I put it out. Bring your camera and bug spray. There are lots of bird hunters and watchers that come here.
This is the best walking access to the five star cache on the island. You will most likely be able to walk out here this summer with the dam work being done. I made it out when the mud was mostly frozen.
There isn't much cover out there, but you are well hidden when finding the cache. There is only room for small trade items. There are some lizards and frogs to start it off.
If you make this an evening walk or night find don't park in the lot as they close the gate. There were a few cars left in the lot when I left and the gatekeeper was very impatient and honking his horn.
Oh yeah, I forgot to put in a little pen or pencil.
