This cache is located just off of a trail that runs through a beautiful wooded area of Lawton Park in Magnolia. We are hoping this spot would be great for TB swapping. We have started it out with 5 TBs we have been hoarding for way too long. If you can help a TB or so on it’s journey, please do! If you have a TB or so to drop off, feel free!
This is a nice quick walk on a well-maintained trail. No bushwhacking or wandering off path more than a couple of feet necessary. Only stingers, stickers and creepy-crawlies linger out there anyway! Depending on your approach, the incline can be gradual or steep. Cache is a black jar. Please stash it very well. This can be a high traffic area in good weather! Bring your dog(s), but watch out for those that have not picked up after theirs! Tree cover may make the satellites hard to locate you. We averaged a few readings. If you find better coordinates, feel free to post them.
PLEASE NOTE: Stinging nettles are numerous through this area during the summer. If you stay on the path and keep in mind that the cache's hiding spot will not require you to have a single run-in with the stinging nasties, you will be fine. If you do touch a stinging nettle, the sting will go away with a little dousing of water.
Please help us establish this as a TB swap area. We could use one around here!
George would have loved it here.
