Nazgul: Well, I went by today to confirm beyond a doubt that the rocket had flown the coop. As we had been warned, it has in fact been removed. There's no longer a compelling reason to keep this cache anymore, so it's time to archive.

Geocache Description:

Micro cache beside a rocket

You can park here at Red Rocket Parking when you want to catch a plane. Or you can climb in the rocket ship and take off.

Rockets are of course a locationless cache target, but this particular example would not qualify, for obvious reasons.

The micro is not in the dirt. (. . . when I placed it)

EDIT 01/08/05: Bughound provided some interesting history after chatting with the owner: "It was originally a boiler that he bought for a building, now gone. If you look in one of the holes you can see the tubes. After he had no use for the expensive boiler, he kept it anyway, just in case. When he opened Red Rocket he made a rocket out of it. It weighs about 12,000 pounds, including the stand"
