The Burlingame Train Station was called "The Prettiest Station on the Line" by the San Francisco Chronicle in it’s December 10, 1893 edition. The station went into regular service on October 10, 1894 mainly to provide service, both passenger and freight, for the estates by El Camino Real. As time passed a town grew up around the station and Burlingame Av.
While here stop and have a picnic either at the station or across the tracks at Washington Park. The Park is dog friendly and has both a baseball field and tennis courts. If picnics aren’t for you there are shops and restaurants across California Dr. and along Burlingame Av.
This cache is also part of the CalTrain - Weekend Trains (GCJQMD) Multi-Cache.
