Dietrich,

It’s been a long time, old friend. Things have changed since we’ve last spoken. I hope Ella and the kids are doing well under your vision. Ever since the nations have been a fight, we’ve spoken less and less. I do like to sincerely apologize for that, I’ve been enlisted as well, and it’s been eating away at me, how much life changed and how the future is looking for us. My deployment has lasted for 8 months currently, and the friction between us all is only worsening. As for my squadron, we have been through major set-backs with enemy nations increasing their deployment of soldiers to attempt to stall us into a stale-mate. We were told by our general that backup is on the way for our team, but it’s been days and the air is only getting colder, as my outlook seems to be grimmer in regards to returning home. I’ve been told that certain nations in eastern europe are also joining the battle, despite having their own set-backs. I haven’t seen anything like this before Dietrich, as it truly scares me.

I hope you are safe back at the farm, I promise you Dietrich, we will see each other again when this is all over. Competitor forces are stalled for now, but just remember, you do have that bunker, make sure you keep it supplied with food, water and clothing. I don’t mean to concern or scare you, but, I will try my best to keep you informed with additional recordings..

-Adrian.

Dietrich,

It’s been what feels like a year, that my previous message transmitted, I guess that’s what time does to you in war. You’ve probably seen a snip of the conflict, as many news outlets are covering it. Let me just run it down regarding things by me. We were finally able to get an area where we could assist in placement of camp for our squadron, as we pushed the enemies into a small retreat. I can say for sure that they haven’t backed off yet, and with additional aid from our side and presumably their side, the fight isn’t over. I am also happy to mention that I’ve met a really nice guy while in the field, his name is Alfred and he’s a part of the infantry. From a snip of the conversation, I heard him mention that he’s drafted in this war. He’s only 22 and has a wife and daughter at home. I pray that he’ll make it through, I can only remember the time when I was his age, just felt like yesterday…

Anyways, take care, I hope to be hearing back from you soon. I’ll be sending you a snip of the photos I’ve collected. I’ll be home soon, I promise

-Adrian.

Dietrich,

Things got worse again. It’s been very hot over here as at the time I'm sending you this, it’s summertime. The temperatures are excruciating and lack of shade and little water is driving everyone here insane and bounding to sickness; Yet we are being told to kick on. The good part though is the enemy forces seem to be retreating a bit, in which I think I’ll be able to return home potentially in a few weeks. I can’t wait to share a pint with you Dietrich, I want to catch up as your family is my family. I see you as a brother Dietrich. I wish you well, same with your family.

-Adrian.

Dietrich,

It’s time I’ve updated you with a short and urgent update. There’s been some sort of sickness passing through our area. Fellow soldiers are seemingly dropping down, unable to kick whatever this may be. With so few medics in our location, it’s getting desperately vital that we find a way to stop the spread. I also was told by our general that the enemies may be launching some sort of strategy at defending their main camp we’re approaching. The days ahead seem risky, but I’ll update you once we get through.

Love you my brother,

-Adrian.

Adrian,

I am so sorry I have not replied to you sooner. I have been preparing a bunch of our past farm crop yield in order to survive and shelter in place by our bunker as you’ve alerted us about. Right now, Your wife and kids are still doing alright, Ella recently started winter break. She’s also really enjoying her Christmas with Santa Claus coming to visit her overnight. Hope to hear from you man,

-Dietrich

Adrian,

I know you won’t be receiving this message, your wife told me while in tears. I heard that things got much better for you, but you guys were attacked. Your wife told me that you looked out for that boy Alfred you told me about. She said you were awarded a purple heart for taking a bullet for him to save the man’s life. Adrian, just know that I love you brother, and I will dearly miss you. I’ll make sure your wife stays well protected along with my family too. I also spoke to the locals to develop a special place to have your person to rest. I just kick myself wishing that we could’ve had one more drink, one more conversation. I won’t forget you brother. I’ll make sure your name is never forgotten as well as I will ensure to plant trees by your grave in your honor, and look over it and maintain it. I’ll miss you.

-Dietrich
