A Letterbox Hybrid cache placed close to the magnificent Venford Falls, aka The Secret Waterfall. Mind you, it's not that secret or I would never have known about it!
The cache is not quite at the headline coordinates. Start at the headline coordinates, the top of the waterfall, and from there follow this traditional, Dartmoor-letterbox-style clue to lead you to the cache:
From the top of the waterfall the cache is about 12 steps away at a bearing of approximately 265 degrees. The cache is hidden behind some stones in the bank.
Cache placed in accordance with DNPA Geocaching Guidelines
PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP in the cache - it is an essential part of a Letterbox Hybrid!
There are very steep slopes and a rocky river cliff on the East bank of the river - I don't think you will be able to get down to the river level and cross the river. Instead use the marked direction waypoints from the car park on the western side of the reservoir dam. Take care and take your time when going down the steep part. I would strongly recommend you do not do this cache at night.
