This event will be held at the Big Billy Bore campground where there are BBQs available, so why not bring along some snags and enjoy the company of fellow cachers and camp overnight in The Big Desert. Bring some wood and your tent and settle in for the night by the blazing fire. It is a free campground with plenty of individual sites. Also has a drop toilet for your convenience.
Big Billy Bore is the first campground you reach if heading south down the Murrayville–Nhill Track. The campsite is approximately 1 hour south of Murrayville, from where it’s 650m into the campsites. This stretch of the Murrayville–Nhill Track is unsealed, rough and very slippery after rain – it’s accessible during dry weather in a 4wd only, there are some fun sand tracks around to have a play on and to test out your 4x4 skills either prior to the event or the following morning.
This is a perfect opportunity to explore the Victorian desert in a group situation with safety in numbers.
