Ajani Two Ducks Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

kangadrew72: Because of the pandemic, many caches became
unmanageable in the time
needed to race out to them and I have not been able to
justify the time to keep this cache going.
I know you may be sad that this cache,
like many of it’s partners is going, but
sometimes it is an old cache that makes way for a new one.
Until next we meet on the caching trail, have an
extra special time caching. KD.

Geocache Description:

Ted Ajani Reserve

Tucked away in Bulleen, there are not a whole lot of caches about.  So here's one which should be out of the way enough to be left alone...

Ted Adjani was a local cricketer who played for North Melbourne in the late 1950s.  One particular match in 1959 on the Labour Day weekend was particularly memorable - the match between North Melbourne and Prahran at Toorak park took just four hours to play, and a total of 12 ducks fell that day (for those who are not familiar with cricket, that's a score of zero...)

Ajani scored zero in both his innings, however ended up on the winning side.

Ajani later became mayor of Doncaster but tragicly died whilst on a fun run.

This reserve is named in his memory.

The cache you are looking for is a small bison tube - reasonably exposed, but not in a highly trafficked area, so it should not attract undue attention.

No room for trackables or pens, so please BYO.

Should be a quick park and grab for those who are so inclined.
