To find 25,000+ caches requires dedication and quite a bit of travel. This is to acknowledge those that have done so or have aspirational goals to achieve that lofty goal. As of the publication date, less than 250 cachers world wide have done so; less than 150 in the United States have done so; and less than 30 in California have done so.
This was a prize at the “25k In a Flash (Mob)” event. The prize winner was instructed to sign the log in the “Pre-Publication FTFer(s)” space. However, for those FTF Hounds that were not able to attend, you too can be FTF on this cache. All you need to do is find the cache and be first to sign in the “Post-Publication FTFer(s)” space on the log. As an FTF Hound myself, I sometimes find it discouraging to see a cache published thinking I have a chance at the FTF only to find out later that it was given away as a prize at an event. I actually think it’s fine to give an FTF opportunity prize away. However, it would be nice for those that didn’t attend to also get an FTF chance. So, in that spirit, and as the Cache Owner, I am allowing FTF’s to also go to those that did not attend.
