Geocache Description:

Congratulations to butterfly5 and MMMcacher for their shared FTF!

Oh no, not ANOTHER puzzle!  Yes!  Another puzzle!

But wait! Don't fret!

You can put away your number conversion calculator, your Dick Tracy braille decoder ring, those calculus books you dug up from the basement, language and symbol transmogrifiers, sound-wave sniffers, lyric-lookup websites, resistance (is it really futile?!) and ASCII charts, and all that fun stuff.  At least for this puzzle.  (Can't / won't make any promises on the next one.)

What you have here is some good old-fashioned puzzling!  So put on your favourite pair of socks, make yourself up a nice plate of quackers and perhaps a nice cold glass of milk to go with them.  Oh, and here's a couple other things you will need:

  • A pair of scissors (or a cutting board / exacto knife)
  • A printer (or some grid paper and a juicy lead pencil, because you'll have some drawing to do)
This page has your puzzle pieces.  Print it or draw it then cut out each of the 12 squares.  If you're going to draw it, we suggest grid paper.  We made the pieces two inches square.

Assemble those pieces properly and you'll soon be able to complete these coordinates:

44 12.NNN and 77 22.WWW

You know, we're really here to help you get this one.  Really!  We've even provided you a worksheet that you can print out that will help you along with the steps you need to do.  Yes, there's some simple math with those dastardly numbers on the puzzle pieces. (We didn't say to put away your arithmetic books!) If you don't have a printer, you may decide to go get one.  But no biggy, you can draw this out too.  We were just trying to be helpful!

Once you get the puzzle together, the spot that mentions the 'Magic #' will be obvious.  Before you smack your head, put down the scissors please.

Alright, one more piece of information that we feel necessary to give you.  When you figure out your sums etc, the 'Subtract' row of your worksheet will need these numbers.  For the highest of your sums, subtract two hundred thirty four thousand four hundred ten.  Got that?  And the other, subtract sixty eight thousand nine hundred forty two.  Alles klar, Herr Kommissar?

Now, we know this sort of puzzle isn't for everyone. If you're feeling frustrated and just need a break, try and make your very own origami duck!

Good luck and enjoy Quackers and Milk!

- The Crew.
