Geocache Description:

History and natural beauty abound at Tripps Mill, a small but scenic portion of the Mattapoisett River Reserve. Located on Tinkham Pond near the boundary of Acushnet, Fairhaven, and Mattapoisett, Tripps Mill is an ideal spot to enjoy an afternoon of freshwater fishing or a hike through the reserve’s diverse habitats.

Begin your geocaching adventure at the entrance to Tripps Mill on Acushnet Road. Explore the peninsula trail, which wraps around a wooded peninsula along the edge of Tinkham Pond. Stop and view herons wading along the pond’s edge and butterflies flitting from flower to flower.

The cache is a small, marked jar. Sign the log book, take a sticker and a prize, and enjoy The Bogs. If anything is missing from the cache, please let us know.
