Um percurso a pé pelo centro de Lisboa, percorrendo um pouco da história arquitectónica da cidade, com boas oportunidades para disparar os obturadores. Dia 17 de Fevereiro, às 10h00 no local de encontro.
A walk through the centre of Lisbon, through a piece of its architectural history, with good opportunities for some photo shoots. Come with us on the 17th of February, 10am, at the event coordinates.
O Prémio Valmor teve origem há mais de um século, no testamento de um visconde (o último de Valmor) que, em 1878, deixa parte dos seus bens para que seja instituído um fundo para premiar “o projecto da mais bela casa ou edifício edificado” na cidade de Lisboa – dando origem ao Prémio Valmor de Arquitectura. O prémio em si só começou a ser atribuído em 1902 e, durante os seus 110 anos de existência teve largos períodos em que não foi atribuído – mas, uma viagem pelos edifícios vencedores, é uma jornada pela história da arquitectura portuguesa e pela evolução dos gostos estéticos lisboetas.
Embarquem por isso nesta viagem, de máquina fotográfica em punho, pela estética urbana lisboeta do último século – misturado com gente “de agora” nas ruas. Vamos começar pelo coração da cidade e percorrer então a Lisboa das grandes avenidas. Aproveitem a ocasião não só para fotografar os edifícios, mas, também, tudo aquilo que vos captar o olhar – e Lisboa é famosa pelas suas incongruências, pelo seu pitoresco que não faz sentido nenhum!
Qualquer pessoa pode participar – até com um telemóvel se podem tirar fotografias, portanto, não se intimidem com isso. O percurso é acessível, se bem que mais extenso que nos geophotowalks anteriores (mas nada que intimide um geocacher), percorrendo a Avenida da Liberdade, subindo um pouco a colina poente para ver alguns dos edifícios da Rua Castilho, e, depois, terminando a meio da Avenida da República. Quem quiser, também pode dar um salto a algumas das caches com que nos vamos cruzar – apesar de esse não ser o intuito do evento.
Para quem queira ir de transportes públicos, recomendo a estação de Metro da Avenida para a “partida” e a do Campo Pequeno ou Saldanha para a “chegada”.
Nota – não há prémios, nem concursos. Este é um evento apenas pelo prazer de fotografar.
The Valmor Prize has its roots more than a century ago, on the will of the last Viscount of Valmor that, in 1878 leaves part of his goods to a fund with the mission to honour the “most beautiful project of a built house or building” – which would become the backbone of the “Valmor Prize of Architecture”. The prize on itself was only awarded for the first time in 1902 - and during its 110 years of existence, one can see several gaps on its attribution (sometimes of many years). Still, a walk through the winning buildings is a journey through the Portuguese Architecture history.
So, come aboard and join us in this walk, with your camera in hand, through last century’s Lisbon aesthetics – with a “nowadays” mix on the streets! We will start in the heart of the city and move through some of the main avenues of Lisbon. And let me invite to “click” not only the buildings you will see, but, actually, everything that catches your eye – and Lisbon is full of surprises, so, you never know!
Anyone can participate – even with a cell camera. The walk is easy, but actually bigger than the previous photowalks (but you are a geocacher, this won’t intimidate you!), through Avenida da Liberdade, going up Rua Castilho, and then up on the other hill through Saldanha and Avenida da República. Whoever wants to can also try to ‘attack’ some of the caches we will cross paths with, though that is not this event’s objective.
Just a quick note – this is not a contest, there are no prizes. It is only for the pleasure of taking some pictures.
