Geocache Description:

Thomas Oliver Larkin (d. 1858) was a signer of the original California Constitution. He was the United States' first and only consul to the California Republic.

As you've already discovered, there are many arboreal wonders at Stanford. However, situated among the humus, this cache is an homage to what keeps Stanford as lush as it is -- a healthy head. Look for red (er, cardinal). Bring a pen, but there's not enough room to leave a treatise.
