Geocache Description:

This is your basic hide in a cool location at the Lost Sea Adventures at Craighead Caverns just visited by Boy Scout Troop 454 from Valdosta, GA.

A few of the Scouts in Boy Scout Troop 454 were a bit disappointed that there was not a cache to be found in this location since a few of them just started caching as part of the requirements of the new Geocaching Merit Badge. Luckily, as an Assistant Scoutmaster and long time cacher, I had a camoed container in the truck ready to go. The boys spent some time looking around for a good spot to place this cache and found a few good locations and found this particular spot while eating dinner before heading into the cave for their overnight adventure exploring parts of the cave not available to regular tours and spending the night inside. Our Troop had an awesome time exploring, crawling, and squeezing through all parts of the cave and getting covered in dirt and mud from head to toe. They also enjoyed the boat ride on North America's largest underground lake.

Our two most experienced cachers were the first ones out of the cave at 6 am and headed off to grab the coords for this one before we loaded the trucks to do some whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River before our 6 hour ride home.

The park opens everyday at 9 and closes at varying times depending on the month. However, 5pm is the earliest they ever close.

I did not have time to verify the coords before we left, so if you feel you can provide better ones let me know and I'll get them posted.
