Original c/o:
Otis Redding sang, "sitting on the dock of the bay, watching the tide roll away." You're in for a treat when you find this location, for it has the tides, the world famous Golden Gate Bridge, the Rock (Alcatraz) and mist from the bay.
Please replace the cache carefully and keep it well hidden. There are those pesky muggles all the time so be stealthy. It's a smallish container so bring small stuff. Beware, it's tricky to find, but enjoy the hunt, it's a lot like looking for Easter eggs!
Come visit one of San Francisco's busiest Geocaching spots. And if you can, post some pictures, they're fun to see. This is a great cache if you're biking or just a place to chill out. My appreciation to the folks who help maintain and keep this cache going and keeping it as accessible as long as it has. What a great sense of community.
2024 update:
After 22 years in it’s original spot, with some trepidation I must move the container 200 feet to the base of the south side of the jetty. The hide started as a slight scramble just beyond the Wave Organ platform, then gained an ADA ramp, and now becomes a scramble again. Look by the bottom of a fallen granite mausoleum arch.
