The Cape Point lighthouse keeper has supposedly spotted a foul and rank-smelling beast slithering on the rocks far below the cliff-tops. Is this the infamous creature responsible for dragging the Lusitania to the murky depths almost 100 years ago?
Rumours abound about a huge tenticled aberration that terrorises the local fisherman. Only a few have survived to tell the tale. They believe that it inhabits the cool dark sea caves at the base of the cliffs. Its primary source of food are the bodies of cormorants that fall from their nests high above.
Now the Shir Yib, a floating crane, has been capsized and dashed onto the rocks. What unholy creature could destroy a vessel of that size?
As chief assessor for Lloyds of London, it is your job to undertake this perilous journey and discover what lurks within the granite recesses of this famous landmark. You must brave the sea, wet rocks and cliffs to get close to its abode and dispel the myth.
However, whatever you do....... Don't awaken the leviathan!

This cache could be very challenging depending on sea state / tide condition. The rocks are slippery and wet, and there is a little bit of exposure along the edge of a cliff. I would recommend doing this during a spring low tide.
Descend down to Dias beach from the top car park. Aim to reach this waypoint (S34 21.302 E018 29.165) about 45 minutes before low tide. If you cannot walk round on the beach, chances are that you will not be able to continue beyond the next waypoint.
Take the high ground at the end of the beach immediately after the wreck of the Shir Yib and walk along a narrow ledge. You will encounter a bit of exposure here. At (S34 21.289 E018 29.307) climb down the channel in the rock face until you are on the darker brown rock layer just above the exposed mussel beds. You can now continue at this level all the way around to the cave.
The listed coordinates will lead you to the entrance of the cave. To locate the cache, venture deep into the cave where you will hear sounds of the beast. Please replace and hide the cache well to ensure its longevity.
