A traditional cache with a great view!
A witch once roamed the mountains above big springs park. One day, a young army officer who had just returned from the war hiked up to this lone ridge where he had promised to reunite with his beloved. She had married another while he was away, and his heart was broken. The witch espied the lone officer sitting in his grief and took pity on him, turning him into a tree, which of course does not feel so deeply as a human. Here he still stands, looking over BYU where he met his beloved, waiting their reunion, which will never come to pass.
