Highway south of Cranbourne.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne is one of Victoria's most
precious areas of native bushland and offers nature-lovers the

The Woodland Picnic Area is perfect for family, friends and
community groups. It has free gas barbecues, picnic tables, a huge
children’s playground and large open spaces for ball games.
It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

We also hope to have a few new caches for people to do. Due to the
sensitive nature of the area excursion off the tracks and into the
bushland will be limited, however there are plenty of caches to do
in the nearby suburbs.
The road into the park is limited to 25 km/hr and has plenty of
signs asking you to slow down for wildlife. We hope you will
respect this important area and do just that.
As you will note from the description above, there is a short
walk of about 430 metres along well graded paths to the Woodlands
picnic area. You cannot access this area by vehicle.
We suggest you start your walk from the nearby carpark at
S38.07.828, E145.16.056. If this gate is closed you can start from
S38.07.838, E145.16.094.
We will supply stickers and marking pens for your names,
everything else is BYO.
Now for the bad news; No dogs, no motorbikes, no horse riding,
no trying to make this a driveby!
