Geocache Description:

This is a drive up, walk a few feet cache.

On Super Bowl Sunday in 1997 the Coyote Creek overflowed it's banks and many houses in the Naglee Park neighborhood were damaged. We found ourselves alongside many neighbors sandbagging houses along the creek. We started in the afternoon and went well into the night. We even missed the second half of the superbowl!
The lot at this site was the spot for two houses. They were overcome that Sunday and the families saved what they could and had to leave. The city of San Jose now owns the land and removed the houses earlier this year. It is now a favorite visiting spot for the dog walkers of the area and it's possible it may become a community garden.
The cache contains a brand new digital fish either to keep or move on, your choice. Also some small swag including a vintage hand made glass elephant.
