Geocache Description:

When hiking on the Portola Trail in Pescadero Creek County Park I thought this little waterfall was very interesting and wanted to hide a cache nearby.

Back in June I had an excellent hike with GoGoJo and catomcat. We hiked from Portola Redwoods to Big Basin via the Basin Trail which connects Big Basin and Pescadero Creek. On Fall Creek we came across this little falls with black rocks. I think it is pretty cool looking. And I really liked this section of trail that follows Fall Creek.

The cache is a bison tube hidden in the end of a large log which is perpendicular to the trail. You do not have to leave the trail to reach it.

The closest parking is at the Portola Redwoods headquarters. The closest free parking is at the trailhead on Camp Pomponio Road (GC18PEV).
