Páskahellir (Easter Cave) was carved out by waves.
Stairs led you down to the cave and you have the choice of either
following the coast further out and climbing back up to the marked
trail or tetracing your steps.
Inside you can see smaller holes left by trees which were covered
by lava about 12 million years ago. If you look outside you can see
water tearing down from above like a natural curtain.
Outside the view is of beautiful pillow lava and a mighty dike and
in rocks numerous crystal can be found. (source: info at the
beginning of the trail)
Take care and have fun!
The original cache is a round tupperware box with a logbook and a
pencil in it. Also watch the spoiler pic! To log the cache it is
not necessary to climb down to the cave but it is certainly
strongly recommended!
