SK: Ked v roku 1953 bola dokoncená Oravská priehrada, bolo
vystahovaných a zatopených 5 obcí - Ústie, Osada, Hámre, Slanica,
Lavkov. Dva kostoly - v Ústí a v Osade boli zbúrané, jeden v
Slanici ostal na ostrovceku uprostred Oravskej priehrady. Na brehu
priehrady bolo postavené Nové Ústie - pár domov, avšak táto
obec ostala bec kostola, kedže komunistický režil
nedovolil postavit nový kostol. Na bohoslužobné úcely
slúžila cintorínska kaplnka. Po páde komunistického
režimu bolo potrebné hladat riešenie pre
vhodnejšiu pastoráciu veriacich v Ústí. V roku 1993 sa
zacala prestavba bývalej školy postavenej v roku 1954 na
bohoslužobné priestory. Pri rekonštrukcii sa ukázalo,
že táto budova je vhodná nielen pre bohoslužby, ale
ponúka priestory aj pre ubytovanie za úcelom duchovných cvicení,
manželských a knazských rekolekcií. S pomocou Božou a za
pomoci dobrodincov sa toto dielo podarilo v roku 1993 aj dokoncit.
Konsekrácia kaplnky sv. Alžbety Uhorskej sa uskutocnila 26.11.
