A cache with a beautiful view of the East Bay Hills.
I was cycling with some friends a while back and came across this section of Palomares Hills that offered tremendous views of the East Bay hills and Eden Canyon. I'm not sure how good a location it is for a cache, but I wanted to give others the opportunity to see the view. We'll see how long this hide lasts.
The container is a camo'ed plastic jar, recycled from one of CompuCash's old caches. A few weeks ago I was hunting for one of IrishJen's caches in the Five Canyons area and came across this container. I did some research and found out it came from one of CompuCash's archived hides. I emailed him to let him know about it, but apparently he doesn't want the container back. I thought it only fitting that it be used again for this hide.
I strongly advise that geocachers refrain from hunting this cache at night. There are homes nearby, and the owners might be suspicious of people thrashing around the area near their residences in the dark.
Please replace the container so that it is not evident to muggles.
Update 11/29/09: I have moved the cache to a new location away from the bees/yellow jackets, and I've also updated the hint and terrain rating. The cache is now easier to find, but it's also harder to get to GZ.
Update 11/3/10: I have changed the style of hide and updated the hint.
