Geocache Description:

Surfer Joe has published over 10,000 caches in Minnesota in a little under three years! It's high time that we give him a little credit (and, perhaps a little beer) for all of his troubles.

Who:
All geocachers who have ever heard of the man, the legend, --those who have seen the surfer icon, received a new cache notice, placed a new cache, -- the novice hider, the vetran enthusiast; young, old, and, of course, the man himself.

To eat wings, drink beer, talk stories, trade travel bugs, hang out, relax, get an event smiley, warm up and to meet the man responsible for keeping us legit.

Why:
There have been countless times where I have found caches published at all hours of the day, during the night, and pretty much every time in between. You hear stories about how a cache can be submitted and on occasion, approved within the same minute! The level of dedication, work, effort and time for one man to put into our hobby is possibly unmatched by all others in our fine state. Let's let Surfer Joe know just how appreciated he is. In fact, this event was published by the man himself!
