This cache is located on town owned conservation land on Cresson Mountain.
This cache is a lock n lock container at the top of Cresson Mountain. The best parking is on the Matthews Rd, right next to the power lines. There is a sign stating that it is conservation land, pull up there all the way to the end. There is room for 2 or 3 cars. From there you can either follow the power lines up and then bushwack, or follow the orange ribbons which mark a new trail to the top. The trailhead will be right in front of you as you drive in, after a few steps you will see where the new trail goes to your left. At this point, if you choose to follow the ribbons, please note that it isn't much of a trail yet, but they are working on it, and it really isn't that difficult to follow the ribbons.
There is also a second trailhead on the Matthews Rd, but there is no parking and the cache can also be accessed from the Sawyers Crossing Road via the power lines.
12/12/10 Visited the cache today, it is in good shape. The trail from the parking area is marked much better, and easier to follow than when I first placed the cache. The trail is marked with light blue blazes painted on trees.
Also, for your trip back down, if you choose the alternate trail mentioned above, keep your eyes open as you approach the Matthews Rd. There is a trail to your left that is marked with orange ribbons. It will bring you back to the parking area. The trail isn't really marked well, but if you keep the road on your right, you should be all set.
