Geocache Description:

Welcome to "Challenge Alley". This cache is accessible from the bike trail.

The cache IS at the posted coordinates!

Please read the description below for logging requirements.

Numbers. We are fascinated by them.  We love to celebrate milestones and goals met of various numbers.  Visiting a new city always seems to be a great way to "relax" and gives us a sense of adventure.

The Challenge is to find caches located in different cities to spell the word "GEOCACHE".  Any cache type will do.  The name of the caches that you find is not important but the name of the cities in which they were found IS!!!  Example:  Find any cache in the city of Oroville and you have the "O" from "GEOCACHE" covered.  A cache in Galt would cover the "G" and so on.  (Special bonus if you can spell "GEOCACHE" twice, see Extra Credit below)

Below are four additional stipulations:

  1. Each city can only be used once.  So the "E" from Elk Grove can only be used once.  You must visit and find a cache in another "E??" city.  Same with the "C" cities.

  2. Only the FIRST letter of the city counts.  If you find a cache in Elk Grove you can only use the "E".  You are NOT permitted to use the "G" as well.

  3. No finds before July 19, 2008 are relevant to this Challenge in order to even out the Playing Field for everyone.

  4. You MUST have fun!!!

Note: Event caches count - Regular, Mega, CITO, FlashMob... whatever!

To complete this Challenge cache, do one of the following:

  • Option One - Preferred:  In your "Found It" log list your caches in City order to spell G-E-O-C-A-C-H-E with the cache names referenced on the same line and the date of your find.  Example: (Hint, here are some real caches in real cities that qualify)  Now your listing does not need to be this complicated with links and everything but you will get the idea.

  • Option Two - Create a  bookmark with the city name for each cache in the bookmark notes, post a note to this cache page for final approval. While you can find the cache without further information, if you send me a message through geocaching.com, I will send (usually within 24 hours or less) the official OK to log your completion of this challenge.  I will check your bookmark to make sure that your finds all qualify.  (Once checked you may delete your bookmark)

Extra Credit (Multiple log of this cache allowed)

  • If you can spell "GEOCACHE" twice.  Once with the FIRST letter of the cities and once with the FIRST letter of the cache names found in those cities for this challenge.  See the above example log.
