This is a very easy two-stage multi cache near a historical marker on the Truckee Trail. In good weather you will be able to get to this cache with just about any vehicle.
There is a marker at the above location were the earlier pioneers headed down into Dog Valley while on their way West. These markers are set and maintained by Trails West.
Trails West is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to locating and marking the California Trail from southern Idaho to northern California and then helping people to enjoy touring the trail.

To locate the cache container you need to fill in the following information from the plaque. You will not need to get back in your vehicle to find the container; it is close to the marker.
