ickster: Well, after 12 years this one is history (pun intended). Looks like the urban progress machine is remodeling this area with more "improvements".

Geocache Description:

In Sooke Potholes Regional Park. Cache size is small container about the size of a sandwich. The parking lot gate is closed 6pm-8am, but is still accessible at night by walking in.

The location is, in my opinion, a great viewpoint of one of the more spectacular sections of the potholes. This cache is recommended in winter and spring to get the best effect of the falls. Check out the nearby ruins. They are quite spectacular. Here are some links explaining the site;

There are very steep cliffs at the cache site. There is a railing (that a child can easily climb through/over), but very small children should be kept under close supervision.

Cache is close to being wheelchair accessible. If you require an aid to walk, this cache is still accessible.
