Geocache Description:

Paperless advisory note: This cache description contains needed images.

The coordinates above are for Melbourne's own Stargate, a large ring-shaped device left by the Ancients to provide a conduit to Stargates on other planets. To go to another planet, just "dial the gate" or set the 6 symbol-coordinates for the Stargate on the planet you want to visit. Then, “go through the gate” to come out a gate at the other end of the wormhole. A navigational DHD (dial-home-device, very much like a GPSr) is needed, along with the following information, found by Daniel Jackson not long after the discovery of the Stargate. Recent expedition reports indicate that this is all that is required, and that additional knowledge of the details of Stargate travel, alien lifeforms or other planets is not necessary.

Jaffa legend has it that the Furlings have left a cache near the gate at the following coordinates:

Information from Goa'uld records indicates that the planet is well-populated with muggle-like aliens, especially on weekdays during the learning season. Quieter times are weekends, early mornings and evenings (and night is probably not too difficult), but stealth and care will still be required. The cache is reportedly about the size of a 1 litre Sistema container responsibly hidden so as not to interfere with sacred native flora. Please ensure you return it carefully to its original location. Stargates and wormholes are notorious for interfering with navigational accuracy.
