Geocache Description:

This cache is near one of many heiau in the Wailua ahupua'a (traditional land division).

Hikinaakala is translated as "the rising of the sun." It is here that the rays of the sun rising in the eastern sky off Wailua first greet the shore of Kaua'i.

While you are here, take some time to explore the heiau, pu'uhonua (place of refuge) and ki'i pohaku (petroglyphs)!

This is the tenth cache in our Iki series. Iki is the Hawaiian word for little or small. The Iki caches are always at easy to get to points of interest.
