Pentala is an island on the sea with a lake on it and on this
lake there is another island, which makes it a perfect place for a
cache.
The lake looks more like a pond. The water is very shallow and
muddy. Swimming across the lake takes some daring and is therefore
not the most recommended way (WingedStone did it though). However,
the distance is rather short.
Note: Diksand area of Pentala island is the most valuable
area of the whole Espoo archipelago that is in its natural state.
Many rare species of plants grow in Diksand and they are protected.
It is allowed to land that beach either by a kayak or by a rowing
boat and swimming is also allowed.
Forbidden is to pick or harm any kind of plant growing in
there. On the beach there are signs that forbids to make a fire,
camping and dogs are not allowed.
A mystery cache may be created in the future based on the
logbook of this cache.
Pentala on saari Espoon saaristossa. Saarella on järvi ja
järvessä on saari. Tämän vuoksi saari onkin mitä jännittävin paikka
kätkölle.
Järvi muistuttaa pikemminkin lampea, sillä vedenpinta on matalalla
ja pohja mutainen. Järven ylittäminen uimalla vaatii hieman
uhkarohkeutta emmekä täten voi suositella sitä lämpimästi, vaikka
WingedStone näin toimikin. Etäisyys ei tosin ole järin pitkä.
