This is a cache I hid when I was out for a hike on the Hunt's Loop
trail.
This cache can be reached from one of 2 parking spots. The first
spot is the parking area at the trailhead at Iron Springs
Campground. This is a nice little campground that has a lot of
history. The trail starts across the long bridge. I suggest you go
left after crossing the bridge and hike the entire trail which is
approximately 4 miles. Beware the first portion of the trail climbs
almost 400 feet in the first 1/2 mile. It is well worth the trek to
the top for the view. This is the toughest portion of the trail as
the rest is fairly easy. The original Hunt's Loop cache(GCF513) is
also at the top. So be sure to find it while you are there. If you
are not up for the hike you can park at the another parking spot
just north of the Iron Springs Campground at N34 46.450 W093
05.276. This parking spot will put you within a 1/4 mile of the
cache, just in case you decide to stop and pick up this cache while
driving Scenic Hwy 7. Please let me know if this cache can be
improved or if the coordinates need adjusting. Please try to
replace the cache how you found it so the next cacher will have the
same challenge.
