This cache has been archived.

Chuck Walla: Greetings from Geocaching.com,

Since you have not responded to my reviewer log about your cache, nor did you post a note to your cache page telling me and others of your intention to address the issue with it, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to your cache page requesting a response from you to post what you were planning to do with the cache on the page and to send me a note. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that you are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Sincerely,

Geocache Description:

Welcome to Ashallond's Geocaching Academy. Over the next 5 months we will see if you can graduate from the academy. We will start with Freshman level courses and work our way up.

When you are done here you can go to the Sophomore Level Classes.

The cache coordinates is at one potential spot that a future high school may be built.

THERE IS NO CACHE THERE. DON'T GO LOOK FOR ONE.

So, Freshman level classes. Let me see your schedule. Hmm, looks like you've got Math, English, Arkansas History, Civics, Journalism, and Earth Science this year.

MATH: We'll start with a simple question. What's the remainder when you divide 5,301 by 27? We'll let that remainder be 'M.'

ENGLISH:I would recommend that you finish your reading of 'Of Mice and Men' by tomorrow. Also, can you tell me how many letters are in the last name of the author? Subtract 9 and we'll call that 'E.'

ARKANSAS HISTORY: Arkansas was the 25th state admitted to the union. Go find the date. Now take the second digit of the year and let that be 'H.'

CIVICS: Schools in Arkansas have to offer one semester of Civics and one semester of Economics in the 9th grade. We'll save Econ for later. Civics today. How many Senators does Arkansas have in the U.S. Congress? Let that number be 'C.'

JOURNALISM: Time to learn how to report what you've read. Don't want to provoke too many people. Make sure we don't use too provoking of a headline or not bother to research the facts. You know, reminds me of that one journalistic term. had something to do with a color or something. You furnish the pictures, I'll get your war sort of thing. You know what color I'm talking about? Hope so. If you could use that color to color the moon, use a 4. If you could use it to color grass, use a 6. If you could use it to color the sun, use a 0. Whatever number you use, call it 'J.'

ART: Ah, art. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and well, our subject today will be open to debate. Modern art baby. This Columbia Blue artwork was installed after some renovations and landscaping additions in 2009. Created out of large steel pipes, it's meant to somehow represent the gas and oil drilling. Students around campus have been known to call it 'The Blue Thing,' 'Dixie Sticks,', or 'The Sculpture in the Front Yard.' You can call it what you want, but 'A' will be the number of straight pipes used to make the sculpture. If there's a bend, then it's not straight. But did you know that two straight pieces can make a bent piece? Amazing. (Geometry is next session, don't worry.) Go drive by or find a picture on the internet. Your choice.

FINAL EXAM

Your final exam will be to go find a small pill bottle in camo tape. Sign the log and you too can work your way towards an Ashallond's Geocaching Academy Diploma. We'll even have graduation ceremony in May!

The Final can be found at:

Again, welcome to the Geocaching Academy. Huh? there wasn't any geocaching topics yet? Well of course not silly....those are upper level courses. We've got to get the core classes taught first.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
