Cache is located just off a trail which follows the edge of the canyon at Zoar Valley.
Park at N 42°27.058, W 078°52.757. This parking area has a "State Forest" sign out at the road on Vail road, outside of Gowanda in Southern Erie County. From there you can hike along a grassy road towards the canyon at Zoar Valley. The grassy road eventually bends around to the left; keep following it till you see a utility pole and turn right there, going on until you reach the canyon. The head of a trail in the woods starts there. Going this route there's no need to crash thru the woods.
NOTE: This cache is not far from a rather tall cliff. (You know those cartoons where Wile E. Coyote plummets down from a cliff and takes about 10 seconds to hit bottom - it's about like that.) Please be careful especially if bringing kids or dogs.
