The cache is located just inside Rotary Park. There is parking adjacent to the cache available 24 hours.
You can drive further in (or walk after dark) for views of Dunedin and the harbour, and also find another cache.
The cache is a multi-compartment plastic container, with several separate compartments which can be used for TBs and swaps.
This cache was set up as the starting point for a travel bug race organized by members of the East Anglia Geomobbers’ Forum. The travel bugs were racing to Nubbins’ Run GC19380 in Suffolk, England where the forum is based.
There were 17 bugs and coins in the race, and thanks to early visitors they all left the cache in the first 8 days. The race was won by Hannah's Buzzy Bee, which reached Ireland 8 days after the cache was published and was placed in Nubbin's Run on 7th June, in just over 3 months.
