This ACACIA CROSSING KOKODA cache is thus named because many of the Loxton and district street and road names have their origins from the Second World War. Kokoda Terrace, commemorates, but bears no resemblance to, the steep and treacherous Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea where fierce fighting took place during the war.
Acacia Avenue is one of many Loxton streets named after native Australian plants.
