This cache was hidden as part of the One Degree of Separation Geocaching Project, but is now a "normal" Mystery cache.
PROJECT: This project was launched to unite the entire geocaching continuum together at one point using the "Small World Theory" as it pertains to geocaching.
If even half of the nearly 13,000 caches originally released on 5/26/2006 get placed as a geocache, no geocacher in the entire world (with even 1 find) should be able to go much beyond 3 degrees of separation from every other geocacher in the world, but the REAL object of this project is to bring that number down to 1 degree for as many geocachers as possible.
One Degree of Separation is a project that has been taking shape and GROWING for nearly 3 years. It's a variation of the "Small World" concept that was proposed in the early 20th century. Many people are familiar with the "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" game, but few know just how far back the idea goes.

CACHE: Dieser Cache ist gefüllt mit mehr als 50 fertig preparierten Micro-Caches. Diese sollen von den Findern dieses Seed-Pots w_e_i_t gestreut werden. Nur wenige Regeln:
1.) Entnimm bitte nur einen Micro, wenn Du dich aktiv an dem Projekt beteiligen möchtest.
2.) Lege diesen neuen Cache innerhalb der nä. 3 Monate im Umkreis von mind. 3km um diesen Seed-Pot oder einen der neuen ODS-Caches.
3.) Benenne diesen Cache wie folgt: One Degree of Separation - "Dein GC-Name".
4.) Kennzeichne bitte Deinen neuen Cache mit dem Text:"Dieser Cache wurde im Rahmen des "ONE DEGREE OF SEPARATION Geocaching Project" gelegt. Dieser Micro stammt von: SandBassQueen, Berlin ODS GCWJ33!"
5.) Schicke eine email an ODS:PRIME! nach dem der Cache aktiviert wurde. Dieser User loggt dann Deinen cache virtuell. Somit kann man das Wachsen der ODS-Caches unter dieser Userid leicht verfolgen. ODS:PRIME! wird nur ODS Caches loggen!
6.) Es ist kein MUSS, aber uns und die Initiatoren des Projektes werden sich freuen, wenn JEDER Finder einen neuen Cache legt.
7.) Hier bitte diesmal KEINE TRADES, Danke!
This cache is prepared with more than 50 micros, which will be planted by the finders of this seed pot. Only some rules:
1.) Pick only one of the ready to go caches, if you plan to participate on this project.
2.) Plant this cache in a minimum distance of 5km around this cache or one of the new planted ODS-caches.
3.) Please be so kind and name your cache as follows: One Degree of Separation - "Your GC-Name".
4.) Mark your/the new cache with: This cache was hidden as part of the One Degree of Separation Geocaching Project. This is a seed that came from: SandBassQeen, Berlin Germany, GCWJ33!
5.) Please email ODS Web Site when you plant your seed, so he can add your cache to the ever growing network of caches placed in this project.
6.) It is not a must, but a pleasure for all the attendees of t he project, that every finder plant a new cache.

Update 7. Dec 2007: Alle Original Dosen aus Texas sind entnommen. Ca. 35 überwiegend hochklassige und sehr spannende Caches sind bereits gelegt worden. Vielen Dank für Eure Teilnahme. Sollte noch jemand Interesse an einem Döschen haben, kann ich nur empfehlen, diejenigen, die noch keinen Cache gelegt haben, anzusprechen. Vielleicht klappt es ja, auch von unserer Seite, dazu viel Erfolg.
Dies ist nun ein regulärer Cache und bleibt erst einmal in dieser Form/Container so bestehen!
Update 2. Apr 2009: Dose ersetzt, Hint modifiziert, Bewertung angepasst. Bitte keine Copy&Paste-logs. Einfach nur eine Dose im Wald, viel Spass!
GENERALS: Die angegeben Koordinaten zeigen auf das Restaurant Spinnerbrücke, wo es einen sehr guten Latte Macciato gibt. Löse das Puzzle und es zeigt sich, wo der Cache zu finden ist. Keine Hints und Spoiler in Logs. Je Cacher nur ein Log. Die Havel Chaussee ist von 24:00h bis 6:00h für den privaten PKW-Verkehr gesperrt. Vorsicht bei sich annähernden Wildschweinen, insbesondere im Frühjahr!
Given Coords are pointing to the restaurant Spinnerbrücke, where you can make a short stopover with a 1st class Coffee Latte. Solve the puzzle and you know, where the cache is located. No spoilers and no hints in log. Each cacher only one log. The Havel Chaussee is closed for private traffic by car from midnight to 6:00am. Please watch out for hogs, especially in the spring!
